Sikandar Movie Review: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s much-awaited film ‘Sikandar’ has been released in theaters on March 30. The audience had high expectations from this action-drama film directed by A.R. Murugadoss. According to reports, ‘Sikandar’ has earned Rs 40 to 45 crores at the box office on the first day of release. This figure is less as per Salman Khan’s previous films, but the advance booking of the film was impressive, with more than 3 lakh tickets sold for the opening day.

The teaser of the film garnered 48 million views within 24 hours of its release on YouTube, which shows the curiosity of the audience about the film. Made on a budget of around Rs 200 crore, ‘Sikandar’ stars Salman Khan along with actors like Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sunil Shetty, Satyaraj, Anjini Dhawan and Prateik Babbar. Murugados proves unable to create the characters of his film. There are many characters in the story, which have not been properly developed. The film fails to make an impact due to a weak story and loose script.
This time brother’s dialogues are not like Salman’s films, which are famous for one-liners. Yes, AR Murugados’s action is known for action films. The action scenes have been choreographed in a very amazing manner. Tiru’s cinematography is strong. Crowd views taken from the top angle adds. The director has tried to add emotion with action, but the audience also finds it in pieces. Many scenes of the film seem irrational. The story lacks contact. The duration of the film is 2 hours 35 minutes, which looks quite long. Santosh Narayan’s BGM is in line with the subject. Talking about music, two songs of Pritam ‘Zohra Jabi’ and ‘Bomb Bomb Bole’ are fine.
