KKR defeated CSK by eight wickets on the basis of Sunil Narine’s all-round performance. KKR won the toss and decided to bowl first and the excellent performance of the bowlers led by Narine restricted CSK to 103 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs. In response Narine also performed brilliantly with the bat and scored 44 runs in 18 balls with the help of two fours and five sixes, with the help of which KKR won by scoring 107 runs for two wickets in 10.1 overs. Anshul Kamboj and Noor Ahmed got one wicket each for CSK.

KKR, chasing the target, got off to a good start with Quinton de Kock and Narine and both the batsmen added 46 runs in 25 balls. However, Kamboj gave the first blow to KKR by bowling de Kock, who was dismissed after scoring 23 runs off 16 balls with the help of three sixes. After this, Narine played an aggressive innings and KKR’s score reached 85 runs in no time. Narine was close to scoring a half-century, but he was bowled off Noor’s ball.
